Now that the weather has started to change for the better we can finally start planning for the season ahead. I’ve already tested the water and come back successful. Oscar has competed at Burrows Lane along with Jagna and we had a fantastic time. I look forward to seeing all of our liveries out and about at local events. Don’t forget Foxes Riding School, Neston Riding Club and Haddon Equestrian offer plenty of competitions and shows over the summer months so get out there and have some fun!

Despite the weather there are still plenty of competitions to be attending. I’m hoping to be going to the jumping this saturday at Foxes Riding School. So come on guys get out there and enjoy your horses/ponies.

I’m glad to say all seems to be running ok on our yard in the abscence of Sarah. We do look forward to hearing from her soon.

Well, as Sarah said, she is passing the management reins over to me. As Brooklet Livery’s “stand-in manager” I shall do all that i possibly can to ensure that everything runs smoothly while Sarah is away. And I’m sure I speak for everyone when i say, “Sarah, good luck with your pregnancy and we can’t wait to see the new arrival!”

Since starting work on the yard last winter, i have met some fabulous people and their horses. When you see me on the yard do tell me how you’re all getting on, especially with all the shows. I myself am taking part in an unusual show this weekend at Whittington Castle(North Wales). Some of you may know that I do medeival re-enacting and stuntwork. Well this sunday i shall be demonstrating medieval horsemanship at the castle. Do come along, i guarantee it’ll be a fun day out for everyone.

So, here I am people. I hope to see you all out and about enjoying what’s left of our summer.

I am rather gutted this week as the decision has been made not to go to the Royal Welsh with Polly. We decided that it with her rather hot personality it would be one question to many, when she goes to a show usually they are hyper and stressed and excited for one day at the Royal welsh she will of been in that state all week. Cant believe how gutted I am she was bought specifically with this show in mind and everything has been geared up to it but thats horses and we all have to remember there animals and dont always conform!! Fingers crossed she will be better for it and come out in august ready to show her socks off again!!

On a brighter note managed to get Dels entry in for flint and denbigh show on time!! so he can go see what he does against the big boys on 2oth Aug!!

Neston on sunday seemed to be made up of past and present Brooklets!! Edward simba swept the board in the pony club games, pip and gilly won young handler in a really big class!! and leid rein equitation big well done pip on a new pony aswell!! Olivia and Toby come away with a fistfull of rosettes for her first show she did fantastic!! Im presuming Lucy and sadie won equitation as spied a red rossette and as she won i presume /sadie was a good girl? so fantastic achievement for Lucy!! Del won the M and M despite his auntie Mandy saying he was to thin!! and i think that everyone accounted for??

Is anyone out this weekend ? warren farm is on v nice show if anyone is looking for somwhere to go!!

If not presume the usual faces will be at foxes on 26th??

Finally finger and toes tightly crossed for Mandys colt Remberant !pollys half brother) who is doing the trip to Royal welsh Good luck Rem !! his class is 8 am Tues morn!!

Most of you have bee out to a show or two by now or just joined in at our yard shows which so far have proved very well attended!! please do keep supporting these events!! Well done Sue and Max for winning the in hand competition!! and I believe Kate did very well in chase - me - charlie so well done to Kate and Millie!!

Also well done to you all who have been off the yard and going to neston and Foxes I believe a certain Kate and Pippa did very well at foxes and Pip and Toby cleared the board at Neston You couldnt see Tobys face for red rosettes!!

My show season proving to be very successfuul this year with the lovely if not slightly loony Llanidan RoseMarie (Polly) Winning her class 3 times out of four and is off the Cheshire show and the royal welsh all being well!! A bit galling that my most successful show season ever is when someone else is producing and showing my horse instead for me!!

Also after a good few months up for sale Murphy has found a lovely new home and is off there next Saturday he is going to be broken to dribve and his new owners hope are to take him to driving shows and lots of pleasure driving Good luck Murphy in your new home im sure we will hear how he is doing!!

Finally its dressage to music this sunday and for your sins you have me as a judge!! good luck everyone!!

Please let me know if I forget to mention a deserving human or horse on the Blog
