Field Arrangements

We understand that each horse has different individual needs and this reflects in our approach to the way we arrange the herds.

Our grazing is second to none and is well managed. All horses are kept in large paddocks with electric fencing and hedges.

There is a herd of smaller horses and ponies that are prone to laminitis. These are kept on bare paddocks from the peak time in spring.

Bedding

Straw is good quality and is delivered weekly to an allocated place.

Shavings are of high quality, large flakes and dust free, these are delivered to your stable door.

Hay/Haylage

This is produced from our own land. Hay and haylage is available all year round. Hay is charged per bale, haylage per week. Cost depends on the size of the horse.

Turnout

Horses on DIY livery are turned out Monday to Friday between 8am and 10am (except bank holidays and over the Christmas period).

Horses are rugged up and fed (as per owner’s instructions) and then taken to the fields by trained staff supervised by the livery manager. Dentist We have regular visits from the dentist, this is booked and arranged by the livery manager for your convenience. Worming All horses are wormed in accordance with Brooklet livery worming programme, wormers are offered at a reduced retail price and delivered to your stable door.
